Technology - it can cause GREAT panic!

Yesterday I experienced a great rush of panic! When I went to open the course link it was not on my D2L page. It had vanished. My heart skipped about 5 beats so I restarted my computer praying it was a glitch only to discover nothing was there. That is when I about shed a river of tears. My worst nightmare was happening. I was not finding the link to the class to complete my assignments. After stressing and praying, I finally thought to email the professor. She could be my only link to sanity. Thank goodness it worked. Technology via email was what saved my sanity and allowed me to finish my assignments. I am grateful for technology most days when it works as planned. Lesson learned: technology can be great but it can also cause great headaches.

An EXCITING day!

Yesterday was like Christmas for me! I received 4 new laptops for my students to use in my classroom! When I opened the boxes it was like opening the BEST gift on Christmas morning. These new laptops will allow my students opportunities to use technology in the classroom and also help them to become better learners. I could not have received a better gift for my students! Christmas in August is great!
